Overview
After creating your account, growlio guides you through a simple onboarding process to get your workspace ready. This helps you set up your organization details, configure preferences, and understand the platform's core features.

- Email verified and logged in
How to Complete Onboarding
Step 1: Enter Organization Details
The first step collects information about your business:
- Organization Name: Your company or business name
- Industry: Select from the dropdown (e.g., Consulting, Design, Development, Marketing)
- Company Size: Choose your team size range
- Country: Select your primary business location
- Currency: Choose your preferred currency for proposals and invoices
Tip: Choose your currency carefully - it affects how prices are displayed throughout the platform. You can change this later in settings, but existing documents will retain their original currency.
Step 2: Set Your Timezone
Select your timezone to ensure:
- Accurate timestamps on all activities
- Proper scheduling for calendar events
- Correct date displays for clients in different locations
The system will attempt to auto-detect your timezone, but you can adjust it if needed.
Step 3: Configure Company Settings
Add additional business information:
- Business Address: Your company's physical address
- Phone Number: Main business contact number
- Website: Your company website URL (if applicable)
- Tax ID / VAT Number: For invoicing purposes (optional)
Tip: These details appear on professional documents like proposals and contracts, so ensure they're accurate and professional.
Step 4: Invite Team Members (Optional)
You can invite colleagues to join your workspace:
- Enter their email addresses (one per line or comma-separated)
- Assign roles (Admin, Member, or Viewer)
- Click "Send Invitations"
Tip: You can skip this step and invite team members later from the Settings page. Each plan has different limits on team members.
Step 5: Take the Product Tour
growlio offers an interactive tour highlighting:
- Dashboard Overview: Your business metrics at a glance
- Clients Section: Managing your client relationships
- Leads Pipeline: Tracking potential opportunities
- Proposals & Contracts: Creating professional documents
- Forms: Capturing leads through custom forms
You can skip the tour and explore on your own, or restart it later from the Help menu.
Tips & Best Practices
- Complete All Steps: While some steps are optional, completing them helps you get the most from growlio
- Accurate Information: Use correct business details - they appear on client-facing documents
- Timezone Matters: Set the correct timezone to avoid confusion with scheduled activities
- Invite Strategically: Consider team roles carefully when inviting members
What Happens After Onboarding?
Once onboarding is complete, you'll land on your dashboard where you can:
- Add your first client
- Create a lead
- Build a proposal
- Set up a lead capture form
- Explore reporting features
Troubleshooting
Issue: I want to change my organization name
Solution: Go to Settings > Organization and update the name. This change applies to all future documents.
Issue: I skipped the tour and want to see it again
Solution: Click on your profile icon > Help > Restart Product Tour to launch the interactive walkthrough.
Issue: I invited someone with the wrong email address
Solution: Go to Settings > Team Members, find the pending invitation, and cancel it. Then send a new invitation to the correct email.
Issue: The timezone dropdown doesn't show my location
Solution: Use the search function in the timezone dropdown. You can type your city name or timezone abbreviation (e.g., "PST" or "New York").
